Our lawyers in Zimbabwe advise clients in the transportation sector on transactions across many legal disciplines. 

We provide legal services to support clients in industries including aviation, highways, bus, rail, ports and shipping, as well as international trade issues, acting on behalf of funders, consortia, authorities, vehicle suppliers and operators.

Experience has included advising:

  • In the privatization of Air Zimbabwe, a parastatal, which involved unbundling into a number of different companies i.e. ground handling services company, ticketing company, the training school and the operating company.
  • Clients in the bus industry in acquiring public carrier certifications, vehicle inspection; department licensing and all other compliance matters relating to the public carrier sector.
  • As co-transaction advisors to assist the Infrastructure Development Bank of Zimbabwe in the procurement of the private partner in the design, financing, construction/dualisation, operation and maintenance of the (a) Harare to Beitbridge Highway (Phase 1); worth USD1 billion; (b) Harare-Chirundu Highway (Phase 2), and Harare Ring Road (Phase 3) worth USD2.7 billion.
