Boubacar Diakité heads GENI & KEBE Lawyers’ Corporate team. He advises on the full spectrum of corporate work for clients doing business in sub-Saharan Africa.
Boubacar supports clients with establishing businesses, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring. He advises on project financing for major and cross-border transactions. Boubacar works with clients across a number of sectors, with particular expertise in the consumer goods and infrastructure sectors.
Boubacar was the recipient of an ILFA (International Lawyer for Africa) scholarship in 2017. He has also worked on secondment in the London and Paris offices of DLA Piper.
Experience has included advising:
- Provided guidance to Standard Chartered Bank in connection with a finacing structure for a project that supplies, installs, services and maintains 50,000 solar streetlights across regions in Senegal - the deal has a value of 95 million euros
- Assisted Chad government as part of project establishing national electricity transmission company
- Industrial and Commercial Bank of China on the financing for building the United Nations buildings in Dakar’s satellite city

Advised the Development Bank of Southern Africa Limited with implementation of 70 million term loan for a project to build 45 Open Digial Spaces in Senegal on behalf of the Ministry of higher education

Legal assistance throught the negotiation and signature for 774 million euro in financing for more than 70 road construction projects in Senegal - the project will build more than 2,700km of roads

- China Export-Import Bank on the financing for the Senegalese government's Mbour-Theis Expressway project
