DLA Piper Africa, Zimbabwe (Manokore Attorneys) has been awarded the National Law Firm of the Year Award as well as the Project Finance Deal of the Year by the IFLR Africa Awards 2021.

The firm’s work on the Beitbridge border post modernisation project, has been described as “the most impactful and transformational deals in Zimbabwe over the last year.” The team’s approach to this transaction also demonstrated its capabilities and “innovative approach to legally complex issues”.

The IFLR Africa Awards celebrates the most legally innovative cross-border transactions and the teams behind them. It also focuses on legal innovation in cross-border dealmaking, recognising deals that break new legal ground, set precedents and develop the legal environment for cross-border corporate finance with a focus on deals that improve the investment landscape.
