Approval of the Decree amending the VAT Refund Regulations by the Council of Ministers

We hereby inform the business community and other interested parties that the Council of Ministers (CM) has approved the Decree that amends the Value Added Tax (VAT) Refund Regulations, approved by the Decree No. 78/2017, of 28 December 28, as amended by Decree No. 30/2022, of 23 June.

According to the information provided, articles 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 of Chapter III of the Regulations, were changed.

According to the CM, the change aims to limit the scope of the Special VAT Regularization Regime to maximize the control of operations carried out by operators in the Mining and Oil sectors, as well as to maximize the VAT revenue resulting from Mining and Oil activities.

We shall provide further information as soon as the Decree is published in the Official Gazette.
