The Visa for Humanitarian Assistance (VAH), was created by Decree No 108/2020, of 15 December, with the aim of being granted to the foreign citizen who intends to travel to the Republic of Mozambique for humanitarian assistance.

Although the Decree established that the same would enter into force on the date of its publication, since its article 7 defined that the fees for the issuance of the VAH would be determined by a joint Diploma issued by the Minister of Home Affairs and Ministry of Economy and Finance, only now is it possible to proceed with its implementation, with the entry into force of the Ministerial Diploma No 21/2021, of 10 March, which establishes the fees for the issuance of the VAH.
