Ruth Balounga is part of the GENI & KEBE Corporate Team. With strong transactional experience in corporate matters in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire, Ruth advises on real corporate and project matters for clients engaging West African markets. This includes advising and assisting clients in projects dealing with mergers & acquisitions, risk structuration and energy projects. 

Experience has included advising:

  • DLA Piper, assisted in drafting Doing Business guide in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire 
  • OneTrust, assisted in drafting annual Data Guidance and Retention Schedule Guidances
  • Ergun Publication, assisted in drafting the 2023 Global Mergers and Acquisitions Guide 
  • Amazon Data Services, advised on the incorporation process and corporate questions from 2022 to 2024
  • Planet One Education, advised on the incorporation process and several corporate questions
  • Planet One Education, assisted in drafting the Public Private Partnerships contract with Senegalese government for project related to building 15 vocational training centers in 15 departments in Senegal 
  • Mastercard Foundation, accompanying the client through processes at the Data Protection Commission
