Before joining ESI as a candidate legal practitioner, Elizabeth was active in the energy sector as in-house legal counsel. At ESI she is gaining valuable experience in general corporate, commercial finance, labour law and competition law matters. She assists on a range of commercial transactions with a focus on regulatory approval and requirements.
Elizabeth has specifically advised on and/or assisted with the following:
- Drafting and reviewing of various commercial agreements for local and international entities
- Conducting research and drafting guidance notes on various laws in Namibia
- Assisting of a major local bank with the providing of a loan facility to a local company and drafting of the related agreements and closing opinion thereto
- Conducting legal due diligence on local companies on behalf of banking institutions and international entities
