Associate, Ellis Shilengudwa Inc.

Andria joined ESI in November 2024 and is currently an associate in the commercial department. During her career, she attended to and gained experience in a wide range of legal fields including; tax law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, secretarial services, and estate planning. This experience has equipped her with a well-rounded skill set, to provide legal support and expertise to local or international clients requiring commercial, local and/or international tax, or estate planning services.

Andria’s experience includes:

  • Drafting a wide range of commercial agreements
  • Providing taxation advice, memorandums, opinions, including mergers and acquisitions, deals etc., for clients in various sectors
  • Providing taxation accounting services 
  • Providing taxation training 
  • Conducting and preparing due diligence investigations and reports for clients in various industries
  • Advising on company law, banking, finance and general commercial and corporate matters
  • Interpreting and advising on commercial agreements
  • Assisting clients with board structures, corporate governance, policies and compliance
  • Advising on labour law matters
  • Advising on estate matters and drafting of wills
  • Preparing trust deeds and setting up of trusts (inter vivos and testamentary trusts), including the provision of general trust law secretarial services
  • Advising on general company secretarial work and work pertaining to their on-going corporate governance

Professional Qualifications 

  • University of the Free State (South Africa): LLB (2018)
  • University of South Africa (South Africa) Postgraduate Diploma in Basic VAT (2019)
  • PricewaterhouseCoopers Namibia Tax Acadamy Program (2019 – 2020)
  • Andria completed her articles with the Justice Training Centre during 2021 and was admitted to the High Court of Namibia early 2022
