Erica Ainomugisha is a corporate commercial lawyer with extensive experience in corporate governance, dispute resolution, contract management, and regulatory compliance. 

Erica Ainomugisha is currently on secondment at Uganda Breweries Limited. 

Experience has included advising:

  • The World Bank on the Kampala-Jinja Expressway Project, where she proposed optimal Government Support Measures and identified potential issues that could impede the implementation of these measures for foreign investors.
  • On a UGX. 90 Billion syndicated loan to the National Water and Sewerage Corporation given by Housing Finance Bank and Uganda Development Bank.
  • On joint venture agreements for the East African Crude Oil Pipeline project (EACOP).
  • The Uganda Breweries Limited supply chain function on regulatory compliance, mitigating risks in procurement and logistics, and streamlining contract negotiations with key suppliers. This support has resolved disputes, enhanced supplier relationships, and ensured uninterrupted supply chain operations, contributing to UBL's operational efficiency and market competitiveness.
  • The Uganda Breweries Limited commercial function of the business to ensure the successful launch of new UBL innovations. This has involved thorough compliance checks to meet statutory requirements and industry standards. These efforts have significantly contributed to UBL's ability to maintain a strong market share, with the newly launched products performing exceptionally well in the market and receiving positive feedback from consumers and stakeholders alike.
  • Uganda Breweries Limited on a CAPEX project for the supply of new Iso-Mix Bottom Entry Systems to optimize fermentation. She successfully negotiated favourable terms with the contractor, ensuring the acquisition of advanced systems that improved yeast health and viability, maintained beer foam quality, reduced loss of bitterness, sped up production time, and achieved significant cost savings.
