Adam Shema is an associate at Equity Juris Chambers, and his areas of practice include corporate, finance, real estate and employment law.
Prior to joining the firm, Adam worked as a Legal officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation where he provided legal guidance and support in a range of areas, including preparing and reviewing legal documents like memoranda of understanding and contracts/agreements, legal opinions, ensuring compliance, and contributing to policy development.
Adam's experience includes advising:
- Companies in negotiations, reviewing and drafting various commercial contracts including, shareholder agreements, share purchase agreements, facility agreements, asset acquisition agreements and real estate conveyancing.
- Companies and non-profits on structuring and establishing their Rwandan entities and assisting with regulatory compliance.
- Different clients on international data transfer requirements and agreements with overseas data recipients and assisting in ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
