Coronavirus update
In order to limit the spread of the coronavirus, Morocco has declared a national health emergency by decree No. 293-2-20 dated March 23, 2020 based on decree No. 292-2-20 dated 23 March 2020 enacting the specific provisions of the public health emergency and the procedures for its declaration. The two decrees came into force on March 24th, 2020 after their publication in the Moroccan official gazette.
The social and economic consequences of this public health emergency are unprecedented and employment is one of the factors that has been negatively affected. Employers are faced with exceptional situations that require reasonable management of labor relationships.
