Yumna is an Associate-Barrister undertaking advisory work for local and international clients which covers all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions and related regulatory issues. She is also involved in the review and drafting of legal documentation.
Prior to joining the corporate and commercial team , Yumna was employed as Barrister in a top-tier law firm based in Mauritius, and her main areas of practice involved civil and commercial law matters. She regularly appeared before Mauritian courts and was also involved in advisory work. She has also assisted in local arbitration matters dealing with construction disputes.
Yumna has a keen interest in Intellectual Property law, which she holds a specialization in, and in Insurance law, having previously acted as legal Counsel for a renowned insurance company before the Mauritian Courts in various matters.
